Greece is a fabulous country, which combines unique history & unbelievable beauty of the nature. The great number of hotels, located on the islands, work only till the end of October, but there are some luxury or A class hotels which work all year round. Athens is a capital & the archeological heart of Greece, this famous city attracts a great number of tourists from all over the world. The most visiting place is Acropolis, which is well known as the greatest monument of ancient Greek civilization. This excellent view will leave unforgettable impressions in your mind. Another one inimitable place of Athens is Lycabettus Hills, located in the centre of Athens, it offers stunning view of the city, especially in the night ( don't miss this sight) . there you can find excellent luxury hotel - St George Lycabettus. Every year citizens & guests of Greece enjoy Carnival which takes place in Athens during 3 weeks in February or Mart. It's fantastic show where there are a lot of entertainments such as a dancing & music. This tradition is celebrated in the different parts of Greece.
If you have more time & wish to discover much more than only Athens, I would recommend you to visit islands of Santorini, Mykonos & Crete. Santorini is considered as "island of love". This place is perfect - if you are in love or wish to celebrate you honeymoon. The original features of Santorini - it's a combination of blue & white, stunning view to the volcano, the great number of fantastic black, white & red beaches, picturesque landscape. The capital of this magnificent island is Thira, it's a nightlife centre with various bars, clubs, Greek & foreign music. Close to Thira there are Oia & Imerovigli - a beautiful town, with romantic atmosphere and nice restaurants. Many hotels are placed on the cliff side, where you can enjoy breathtaking sunset. If you prefer to be close to the beach I would recommend you Perissa & Kamari area.
Mykonos it's a modern resort, it offers a great number of luxury hotels with SPA. Also it 's well known as a friendly destination for gays, but it doesn't matter that another part of people will be a minority . This island is one of the most expensive resorts in the world, but believe me it 's for sure value for money. If you plans to spend your holidays on Mykonos, it would be better to book accommodation before you come to Mykonos as the availability always are extremely limited. The main town of Mykonos is Chora, it's characterized by Cycladic architecture & small streets which sometimes seem not to have an ending. You will be surprised by the vast variety of modern & lovely shops, taverns & restaurants. So, if you are looking something a little different than standard large luxury hotel , but still want the luxury of a full service, beautiful , chic retreat than I would recommend you to visit this wonderful island.
Another part of Greece is Crete. It's a largest island in Aegean Sea. Crete is absolutely memorable, its beauty and friendliness of the people create incredible impression on your mind.

If you plan to spend your holiday on Crete, please note - it's impossible to discover all attractions that it has during 1 week, as Crete is incredible big island.
