Harbour Rocks Hotel, 4 star
Harbour Rocks Hotel is a famous hotel, built about 150 years ago as a Sydney's first Hospital. Then half of the current site was sold to George Evans, a prominent Sydney solicitor, who built what was and still is known as Evans Loft. This part was reconstructed in a three-storey brick warehouse, with the facade divided into four bays. The second half of the building, known as Scarletts' Cottages was built as six terrace houses, made of sandstone with characteristics Georgian flattened brick arches over the windows. Besides, the hotel has its own unique story: that is the story of the tragic life of Eric, the ghost who haunts the building and can be heard moving almost imperceptibly down the corridors at night. His story is a melancholy one. To this day, Eric still searches for Scarlett, who, in a moment of thoughtlessness, swore to him her undying love. Sometimes when there is someone staying in what used to be his room, you can hear him calling out over the wind to Scarlett, his one true love. Scarlett however, did not love Eric, and he died before learning of her lie, and that she had befallen a tragic death. To this day, Eric continues to wait for her return and has, on occasion, appeared in front of unknowing members of the Hotel Staff, questioning them about their knowledge of the whereabouts of Scarlett.
